Wednesday, 9/2/09 Report (Live)

Conditions - Wind: NNE 5 kts. Tide: 7:04am. Sea Temp: 74.1 degrees. . . What a day!!! Low humidity, and sunny skies.

1st Drift - Made our first one on the Reach. Not a fish. Completely changing up the area and going on a seek and destroy mission!

2nd Drift - OOHHH AHHHH!!!! Hit the jackpot!! We are fishing an area that we haven't touched in a few weeks. Excellent fishing. Keeping is another story, but that's the way it goes in 2009.

3rd Drift - Not as good as the previous drift, but it was still ok. The wind is out of the east very light now, but it's enough to hold us up against the tide slightly. There are a few people with 2 keepers already. Nothing big yet, and the catch of the drift was a pair of romancing horseshoe crabs.

4th Drift - Not so good. We had an initial shot of fish, but not much followed. John Lipari is high hook with 4 keepers.

5th Drift - Pretty good fishing on this one.

6th Drift - Not so good, which means the next one will be good.

7th Drift - No good. We are on the tide change. Going to change up the area in hopes of getting a shot of them. We will see.

8th Drift - No payoff. Finished slow.

We had moments of fireball fishing and we had some super dull moments as well. When it was good, it was real good. Seemed to lose the bite at the end of the tide. High hook was John Lipari with 4 keepers, and today's pool winner was Lisa Raby, Henryville, PA, with a 4 pound fluke.
