Today was a bit of a struggle. We had a slight northwest breeze up against an incoming tide to begin the day, giving us horrible drifting conditions. When the tide changed at 11:00, so did the wind. It came around out of the southeast just enough to keep us from drifting out with the tide. We did pick the shorts, with an occasional keeper being landed, but it was a far cry from what it was on Tuesday and yesterday. Ended up with 26 keepers on the day with the largest being a 5 1/4 pound fluke caught by Ted Surick of Carteret, NJ.
