Saturday, 6/27/09 Report

6.27.09.barker.jpg   Well, we got ours today!! We caught the change of tide bite for the first two hours in the morning, and we caught it again in the afternoon. Super fishing on both. The first drift of the day lasted two hours, and we hammered away at the fluke. Many people put 3, 4, and 5 keepers in their buckets during this drift. We carried them as long as we could and then moved on. We had a couple of hours of slow fishing during the late morning, but after noon we caught the beginning of the outgoing water, and beat them up again. We had 2 customers with their limit and a quite a few with 4 and 5 keepers. Rob Morison won today's pool with a 5 pound fluke, and Anthony "Barker" Rullo and Rich Legotte were the all-stars of the day catching their limits. Overall today was probably the best day of fluking and keeping yet.
