Began the day with the wind still blowing out of the east. Headed to Great Kills to seek some shelter from the terrible conditions with the outgoing tide going up against the wind. Made a few drifts and caught a couple fish each drift. Nothing great but it was something. We did catch the majority of our keepers here. After the tide change we headed to West Bank and finished the day with a slow pick of mostly shorts. Not a good day of fishing at all, but it was a step above yesterday. Pete Hahn, Somerset, NJ, won today's pool with a 4 pound fluke.
