Daily Reports From The Deck

    Headed to Ambrose Channel and found a huge roll in the ocean due to a pretty good southeast wind overnight. Any time there is a big roll in the ocean the fluke tend not to bite, and this is exactly what happened today. We tried to hang in there and give it a go, but after a couple of hours, it was just not worth it. We headed back into the bay along the Reach and had the same results. Waited for the incoming water around noon so that the roll would be reduced, and made our way into the ocean  along Sandy Hook Channel. Ended up finishing the day with a very small shot of birds and shorts. It was just not a good day. Juan "The Assassin" Ortiz was at it again, finding a way to win the pool with a 5 pounder despite terrible conditions.
