The first 10+ pounder of the year was caught today by Keith Piskorski, S. Amboy, NJ. The beast weighed in at 10.3 pounds.
Very good fishing to start the day. Our first drift was very productive with many keepers, shorts, and of course, sea robins coming over the rail. A few very good sized fish as well. A 10.3 pound fish. A 7.6 pounder, caught by Derrick Gyengo, Laurence Harbor, NJ, and a few 5 pound fish as well. Fishing slow down considerably around late morning due to ship traffic. A few inbound and out bounder's is all you need to turn the fishing off. Could only get a pick going in the afternoon with an occasional shot coming every now and then. Overall, the first drift and the big fish made the day.
