« Getting The Season Started | Main | Sunday, 5/25/08 Report »
Started our day at our usual opening day fluke spot off the Coast Guard station at Sandy Hook. Water temperature was 57 degrees (which is still a little too cold) and wouldn't you know it -we had wind against tide! Fishing wasn't great so we changed the area and went outside the hook into the ocean, and still could only muster up a slow pick. Tried a few different places but couldn't get anything consistent going. Lenny Borer caught the first keeper for this season, and Chris (sorry can't recall his last name) won today's pool. Overall the day wasn't great but we got a start!
