Friday, 5/30/08 Report

The day started off good. We were on the same grounds as yesterday. Conditions were perfect with a west wind and outgoing tide together. Had good fishing during the outgoing. Keeping was another story. The ratio was way down from yesterday with many "BIG" shorts being caught. The action died down with the change of tide. Upon the incoming water, the wind shifted out of the south. Conditions were perfect again, but this time the fluke did not want to bite. The water temperature dropped a couple of degrees on the change, and this had an effect on the fishing. We need the water to warm up some, but it's not going to happen right now with all the south wind that is predicted for the weekend. Things will get going more consistently once the temps rise.
