        Opening Day '08!!!!

   It was nice to be back out fishing for the first time this year. The weatherman was completely wrong again, but that's nothing new. Started the day making our first drop on the far west side of the bay. We had the beginning of outgoing water with a surface temperature of 46.4 degrees. It took a L-O-N-G time for us to catch the first flounder of the season, but it eventually happened. Tried to hang in there for a while, but nothing else came up. Made a shift back toward our harbor, and had one on immediately, but again it was a long wait for another one to come over the rail. Made a couple of small moves, and slowly picked the rest of the day. High hook was Doug K. with 3, and the pool winner was a 3 pounder. Overall we had 24 fish for 15 people. It wasn't great, but it wasn't that bad either. On a side note, "Fan Favorite" Lenny had 2 keepers.
