The long and short of it!! Lou "The Legend Killer", and Frank, holding up today's largest and smallest fluke. Both were caught at the within seconds of each other, but with different results. Lou's fish was 6 pounds, and Franks came in at 6 inches. Be proud Frank!!
We had good fishing to start the day in the Reach Channel until a combination of slack water, and an outbound ship came by that basically shut every thing down. Headed to the Keansburg buoy, but nothing other than shorts were caught. After letting the water in the channel settle for a while, we headed back to it. Finished the day picking fish. A lot of shorts, and a good amount of keepers too. Much improved fishing from earlier in the week. A good amount of bait life around, and a lot of fluke came over the rail. Today's high hook was George Cariglia with 7 keepers. George also caught over twenty shorts on the day. Today's major award winner was Lou Delmastro with a 6 pound fluke.
