Saturday, 8/25/07 Report

Excellent fishing today!!! Stayed in the back of the bay, along the Reach Channel, and caught the fluke very good. We had perfect drifting conditions, and the fluke were finally ready to bite after the horrible weather this past week.  Read a ton of bait life on the bottom, and saw all kinds of life on the surface. This is the first time we have seen this since the storms. Mike Melillo was today's high hook with his limit of 8 fish, and there were quite a few other people with 6 and 7 keepers. The fishing slowed a little around the change of tide, but bounced right back after we got some float with the incoming water. Today's pool winner was a 5 pound fluke. Very good day of fishing!!!!
