Tuesday, 6/5/07 Report

The wind and rain from yesterday really put a hurting on the fishing today. Started at the point of Sandy Hook. We couldn't fish outside because of a giant roll in the ocean. Caught mostly shorts. Moved around quite a bit between the Hook, and Ammo Pier. Very little bit, and what did was mainly shorts. Made a move further to the west around Port Monmouth, and finished the day with a pick of shorts, and a good shot of keepers mixed in. This is a good sign that shows that the Fluke are moving into the western part of the bay. Overall it was a slow day of fishing, but that can be directly attributed to the weather we had over the last 24 hours. High hook had 4 keepers, and Mike Butler, South River, NJ, won today's pool with a 4 pound Fluke.
