Today started much like yesterday. We headed for the western side of the bay, and had a light west wind with an outgoing tide. After a few drifts there with no luck we headed to the middle of the Reach Channel. No success there either. It looked as if today was going to be a wash also, but after the tide change we headed to the Knoll. We did see some fish here, however the majority of them were short. We did pick an occasional keeper here and there. It was a good sign after a couple of days of tough fishing. Today's high hook had 5 fish, and the pool winner was 3 1/2 pounds.
