Headed right for the Raritan Reach Channel again today. Had an incoming tide with little to no wind at all. Started picking fish right away. Not fireball fishing by any means, but most of what we caught we kept. There are alot of nice sized fish along the channel, and today was another day where we saw some bigger fish. The biggest on the boat today was a 6.8 pound Fluke, and we had a few in the 5 pound range, along with a couple of 4's. Made a few drifts along the channels edge, slowly picking on all of them. The wind shifted to the southwest, and started to increase as the late morning went along. By 11:30 the wind was blowing a good 15 knots, making it impossible to stay in that area. Changed it up for the afternoon, and headed to Port Monmouth Beach. Made a few drifts there to finish the day, and picked a mix of shorts and keepers. Today's high hook was 7, with two people getting that number. The pool winning Fluke weighed in at 6.8 pounds.
