Saturday, 6/9/07 Report

IMG_3145a.jpg

Started the day making our first drift in the Reach Channel. An incoming tide and a easterly breeze made it difficult to fish because we were drifting over 2 knots. Moved to the tip of the Hook, and caught alot of shorts and Sea Robins. After a few drifts there, we moved to the eastern side of the Ammo Pier. Had 1 good drift there with a few keepers. Looked like things were going to get going, but it never happened. Overall it was a slow day with the keepers. We did catch quite a few shorts, but keepers were hard to come by today. We had a tie for today's pool. George Fidecaro, and Curtis, Matawan, NJ, each had a 4.10 pound Fluke.
