Yvonne Botha, who traveled all the way from South Africa to enjoy some Jersey Fluke fishing, won today's pool with this 5 pound Fluke.
Started the day fishing the middle of the Reach Channel. We had a slow, steady pick of fish. Most of what we caught, we kept. Did not have anywhere near the same short fish action that we saw over the weekend. We did catch some nice sized fish again today. A couple of fish in the 3 to 4 pound range, and a 5 pounder. Around noon we saw some ship traffic in the channel, and it completely shut down the fishing. Made a move to the east around the TC Buoy, and didn't catch much. Today's pool winner was Yvonne Botha with a 5 pound fish. High hook today was 5 fish. Overall it was a slow day. A few people found it hard to get a Fluke in their bucket, but for others they added up nicely.
