Friday 6/1/07 Report

I have to make this a fast report. Have to get back to boat for the night trip. Today's fishing was good. Alot more shorts than we have seen the past few days. We caught two big fish weighing in at just over 8 pounds. We went through a lull in the action during the tide change around 9:30. Had difficult conditions with the wind and tide after the change. 8 - 10oz. sinkers were the norm. Found our best fishing in the deep of Sandy Hook Channel. Today was not as good as yesterday, but it was ok.  Frank Moltisanti, Cranford, NJ, and George Krenick, Bridgewater, NJ, tied for today's pool with a pair of 8.5 pound Fluke's.
